Power Women in Kibera

The power women in Kibera put their status behind to fight HIV stigma in 2004. They built a community to support each other and grow out of the norm. Their status has not stop them from becoming who they are today. They educate women on important of getting tested especially if pregnant and help other affect women. Currently they are ten women, working together with a strong purposes. They create beautiful artefacts, jewellery, ankara clothes e.t.c Their shop is located in Kibera, Olympic. They also run a day care center to support women who go to work. Some of their products at Ghetto Gifts include passport bags and gift bags. When women work together, it’s a bond unlike any other.
